Bonsai... typically we think of little old Japanese men huddled around
their plants snipping and tucking. But Bonsai basically is about restricting
a plants ability to grow, or to grow only as the surrounding environment
dictates. Here in the salt plains, there are these little plants that
have been here for years, their trunks old and twisted (like Zed) ...
but only a few inches high... natures very own Bonsai.
This was the end of our trip. The riding was UNREAL, the scenery was
magic. When I finally convinced Klaus there was a resitrictor in the bike
and we removed it, it ran like a true 350 should. The only downside was
the loss of a poorly maintained engine, that was blamed upon the rider.
This lead to some heated arguments in the bar between us and Klaus. We
will never do another ride with this tour group for this very reason.
He was not a tour guide, and never will be.
