We grabbed a few supplies and then hit the road, bound for Kings Canyon.
A rather uneventful drive, but again the scenery out here is worth the trip alone.
We pull into Kings Resort campground about an hour before sunset and battle with the masses to find a decent camp site. We setup camp and then head for the Canyon to watch the sun set from down inside. Tomorrow we decide to walk the rim.
Sunset view from inside the canyon.
The canyon is amazing, for a climber and rock lover like me, this place was a mecca. I sat there and could not stop picking all the classic lines up the sheer and overhanging slabs of sandstone.
Sun sets and we make our way back to camp for food, alcohol and sleep.
